Being an arts student is different from other disciplines. Focusing less on empirical evidence and tested results, arts courses require more critical thinking and the forming of your own opinions. Taking good notes that record concepts, arguments and opinions, rather than just facts, are essential to success in arts courses. Equally important is talking to classmates and instructors.
