Forming a country isn’t very easy, but when you have a shaky coalition government, you’ll do anything to stay in power. So John A. and “friends” (Cartier, Brown, etc) carted themselves off to Prince Edward Island for a little shindig called the Charlottetown Conference. With them came their wives who did much to keep the atmosphere friendly and socially conducive to forming a country. Madness ensued…
